In the period 01/01/2006-01/01/2007 the National Pharmacovigilance Center (NPC) received the total of 266 spontaneous reports of adverse reactions to medicinal products. 92 of them were forwarded to the NPC by marketing authorization holders, who, on the other hand received them from health-care workers on the territory of the republic of Serbia (marketing authorization holders are legaly bound to forward the reports to the NPC). The number of reports on adverse reactions to medicinal products in 2006 was still far smaller than expected, that is, the actual number, but it was larger than in the previous period (Picture 1). Namely, in the ten-year period from 1996, when the system of spontaneous reporting was set up in the Republic of Serbia, to 2006, the total of 707 reports on adverse reactions to medicinal products was filed
